In den meisten F\u00e4llen werden Gegenst\u00e4nde aus dem Alltag in einem Meer oder See versenkt, an welchen sich anschliessend Leben entwickeln soll. Zum einen kann man so die Vielfalt der biologischen Arten erhalten, zum anderen sind diese Riffe oft Ziele f\u00fcr Sporttaucher, welche das neu entstandene Leben erkunden. Oft werden Autos, Schiffe, Flugzeuge oder auch Autoreifen versenkt.<br \/>\nBei k\u00fcnstlichen Riffen unterscheidet man zwischen 2 verschiedenen Arten:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">1. Unbeabsichtigte k\u00fcnstliche Riffe<br \/>\nUnbeabsichtigte k\u00fcnstliche Riffe entstehen meistens aus einem Verkehrsunfall und sind daher auch nicht gewollt. Ein gutes Beispiel f\u00fcr ein ungewolltes k\u00fcnstliches Riff ist ein gesunkenes Schiff. Die Zahl der unbeabsichtigten k\u00fcnstlichen Riffe \u00fcbersteigt die Anzahl der beabsichtigten k\u00fcnstlichen Riffe deutlich.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2. Beabsichtigte k\u00fcnstliche Riffe<br \/>\nDiese Riffe werden an einem bestimmten Ort zu einer bestimmten Zeit durch Menschen gebildet. Fr\u00fcher wurden solche Riffe f\u00fcr Meeresforschungen erstellt. Heute versucht man vor allem mit diesen Riffen unbewohnter Meeresgrund zu besiedeln. Bei dieser Art von k\u00fcnstlichen Riffen ist es sehr wichtig, dass man vor dem Versenken eines Gegenstandes alle Elemente entfernt, welche f\u00fcr die Natur sch\u00e4dlich sind. Das gr\u00f6sste beabsichtigte k\u00fcnstlich Riff, welches f\u00fcr Sporttaucher erstellt wurde, ist die USS Oriskany. Der US-Amerikanische Flugzeugtr\u00e4ger liegt nun vor der K\u00fcste von Pensacola in Florida und hat eine L\u00e4nge von 275.5 Meter.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">K\u00fcnstliche Riffe gewinnen auch in Katastrophen gef\u00e4hrdeten K\u00fcstenregionen an Bedeutung. An K\u00fcstenregionen wird oft versucht, durch k\u00fcnstliche Sandb\u00e4nke, den Wellengang zu beeinflussen. Das Ziel ist vor allem, bei Sturmfluten \u00dcberschwemmungen\u00a0zu verhindern. Zudem k\u00f6nnen durch solche Sandb\u00e4nke auch geeignete Bedingungen f\u00fcr Surfer schaffen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Auch heute wird noch ausgiebig an k\u00fcnstlichen Riffen geforscht. Vor allem wird eine Art von k\u00fcnstlichen Riffen gesucht, welche allen Anspruchsgruppen, also Sporttaucher, Surfer, Fischer, K\u00fcstenbewohner usw., gerecht wird.
