Der \u00e4lteste Vorl\u00e4ufer des heutigen Atemger\u00e4ts, die Tauchglocke, wurde vermutlich um 450 vor Christus zum ersten Mal eingesetzt. Die Griechen benutzten sie um w\u00e4hrend der Perserkreige feindliche Schiffe anzubohren. Allerdings waren diese Ger\u00e4te nur f\u00fcr sehr kurze Tauchg\u00e4nge geeignet, da man noch keine Kompressoren hatte um die Atemluft in der Tauchglocke aufzuf\u00fcllen.<\/p>\n

Als in England w\u00e4hrend Industriellen Revolution der Maschinenbau florierte wurde auch die Entwicklung von leistungsstarken und mobilen Kompressoren vorangetrieben. Das erm\u00f6glichte es Helmtauchger\u00e4te zu entwickeln, die in einer Tiefe operieren konnten, die dem Maximaldruck des Kompressors entsprach. Allerdings war auch diese Art des Tauchens mit einigen Gefahren verbunden. So konnte es vorkommen, dass der Taucher, bei Ausfall des Kompressors, in den schweren Messinghelm gedr\u00fcckt wurde, was zu schweren Verletzungen f\u00fchrte.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend des 19. Jahrhunderts kam es zu grossen Weiterntwicklungen der Helmtauchger\u00e4te. Sie wurden sicherer und komfortabler, sodass sie f\u00fcr immer mehr Aufgaben eingesetzt werden konnten. 1911 stellte das deutsche Unternehmen Dr\u00e4ger ein Helmtauchger\u00e4t vor dessen Luftversorgung bereits der eines modernen Kreislauftauchger\u00e4ts \u00e4hnelte.<\/p>\n

Das Tauchger\u00e4t, wie wir es heute beim Sporttauchen einsetzen, wurde erst um 1943 von \u00c9mile Gagnan, im Auftrag von Jaques-Yves Cousteau, zum Patent angemeldet. Als zwei Jahre sp\u00e4ter die sogennante Aqualung, -eine Weiterntwicklung des Ger\u00e4tes von Gagnan, auf den Markt kam revolutionierte diese das Ger\u00e4tetauchen und machte es zu einem Breitensport, wie wir ihn heute kennen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
